P.O.E.M.S. Spoken Word Ministries hosts dynamic Open Mic Forums and Staged Productions that offer powerful spaces for authentic expression, emotional release, and spiritual connection. These events are more than performances—they are healing gatherings where voices rise, stories matter, and communities come together in truth, faith, and fellowship.
Through the art of spoken word poetry, we create safe, inclusive environments where participants of all backgrounds are encouraged to share their stories, struggles, victories, and vision. What to Expect
Open Mic Forums
Our open mics are community-centered events where individuals are invited to speak from the heart—whether through poetry, testimony, music, or storytelling. These welcoming spaces uplift voices that are often unheard, offering an outlet for youth, creatives, and those in reentry or recovery to reflect, connect, and inspire.
Staged Productions
Our staged spoken word performances are curated showcases that combine poetry, music, visual art, and movement to explore themes of faith, justice, identity, trauma, and healing. These productions are deeply moving and often spiritually transformative, sparking important conversations and fostering a deeper sense of empathy and understanding.
